Consultation fees and rebates
Initial session consultation fee is $280
Subsequent sessions (50 mins) are $270
Session fee is payable on the day of the appointment.
Payment of fees
Whilst I can provide treatment to those with Mental Health Care (or Treatment) Plans, Private Health, NDIS and WorkCover, please be aware that you are required to pay the full fee on the day of service.
The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee is $311 per hour. I strive to provide an affordable yet bespoke service for all of my clients. As such, my initial session consultation fee is $280.00 and subsequent sessions (50 mins) are $270.00.
Mental health care plans
Your doctor may refer you for psychological treatment via a Mental Health Care Plan. This referral entitles you to up to ten Medicare rebated sessions per calendar year (January to December). Your initial Mental Health Care Plan referral will typically be for six sessions.
After this time, you will need to have a review appointment with your referring doctor whereby they may refer you for the remainder four psychological treatment sessions.
When a client with a Mental Health Care Plan (initiated by a General Practitioner, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist) is referred for psychological services provided by a Clinical Psychologist, the Medicare Rebate is currently $141.85.
Your rebate can also be applied to Telehealth (video call) appointments if an eligible Mental Health Care Plan referral is in place. Please note that even if you are eligible for a rebate, there is a gap amount that you will be out of pocket.
In addition, if a Medicare rebate-able referral is in place, I am required to provide correspondence to the referring doctor to update them of your engagement with her, and the treatment provided.
Feel free to email or contact my team to determine if I can accept your referral and commence the therapy journey with you.
Private health fund rebates
You may be eligible for Private Health Insurance Rebate. As rebates vary, please check with your own private health fund provider to determine if this is available to you on the health insurance coverage you have. My team can provide an invoice/receipt for you to submit to your health fund for rebate if this is applicable to you. Please note that you cannot claim from both Medicare and your Private Health Fund for the same appointment.
Third party referrals
Whilst I can provide treatment to NDIS self-managed and plan-managed clients, fees are charged at the standard fee noted above, which is payable at the time of service. A member of my team will issue you with an invoice/receipt of the service which can be submitted to the third-party payer for reimbursement. This is the same for WorkCover, Insurance, and other referrals.

No referral, no problem
You do not need to be referred by your doctor to access psychological treatment, nor do you need to have a Mental Health Care Plan to engage in treatment with me. However, you will not be able to access a Medicare rebate if an appropriate referral isn’t in place.
Requests for letters and reports
Letters outside of correspondence to the referring doctor will be billed at the hourly rate. Each request for a letter or report will be considered for suitability and an individualised quote will be provided and agreed upon before the work commences. It is important to give my team ample advance notice if documentation is being sought.
Your referral
As there are several Medicare referrals you may be referred under, please reach out via email to determine if I can accept your referral and commence the therapy journey with you.
